Second Semester Welcomed With A Masquerade Ball @November 27, 2015

JMarians welcomed the Second Semester of 2015-2016 with a MASQUERADE BALL.

The high turnout of participants who came to  the acquaintance party was amazing as it left the JMC skygym bleachers full of   students from the different colleges.

“It was fun and an interesting night because I saw students from different departments interacting with one another. Friendship was built in this magical night,” Accountancy student Anisa de Guzman expressed.

Students arrived at the venue masked and dressed competitively as they represented their respective departments for the 10 best dressed men and women and 10 Most Creative Masked men and women.

First year BA in Communication student John Carlo Banados and first year BS in Civil Engineering Heidi Grace Cabajes caught the eyes of the judges with their most creative masks.

Meanwhile, 2nd year  Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Joed Gervacio and first year BS in Psychology Maria Gracia N. Dimagnaong captivated the judges and spectators with their most elegant attires.

This is an event that will, at least, prepare our students for the rigorous days ahead. Today, they get the chance to express themselves and meet new friends from other programs,” General Education Program Head Dennis Lazarte quipped.

The program was aimed to strengthen the bond and to develop and establish friendship between and among students.

Kids Tell The World About Global Warming @August 05, 2015

Another inspiring performances from the grade school department warmed the hearts and reminded the audience how important it is to take care of the environment which is gradually destroyed by the impact of global warming.

“There are so many ways how to convey a message to the people. In this week-long celebration of JMC’s founding anniversary, we want to tell the people that global warming is real and there is still a chance for us to work together to save our mother earth. We convey the message through  jazz chants,” said grade school event coordinator Mr. Leo Cabural.

All performances were centered on mother nature and  how  it struggles to battle global warming which is caused by human activities. “At a young age, we want our pupils to feel that there is a need to do something to care of the environment,” Cabural added.

“It was fun. Jazz-chant is fun. We convey a story, we act, we tell the people that we have to love mother earth,” grade  four pupil Nash Acobo exclaimed.

The jazz-chants competition was not only meant to showcase   the talents of the kids  but to share the message that all people should be mindful of their activities that might harm the only planet where we live in.

Graders Advocate Good Eating Habit @July 24, 2015

Hello, Kids!  Do you believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day? According to studies, taking   healthy breakfast must become   a good habit for it is the meal that sustains the body with  nutrients for the rest of the day  and it makes children healthier.

That  is why to promote good eating habit among kids, JMC culminates the Nutrition Month Celebration 2015,  in partnership   with  McDonald’s Back-to-School Funday Program, with  various events that support the “taking healthy breakfast” advocacy.  The pupils participate in food preparation   and jewelry-making contests using fruits and vegetables.

The event provides an opportunity for all JMC kiddos  to realize that if one wants to be  physically  healthy and mentally agile, never ever  skip breakfast.
