JMC Gears up for ASEAN Integration

The Jose Maria College (JMC) accepts the challenges of the regional integration and one community framework of the ASEAN 2015 which entails curricula reforms responsive to global needs.
The integration aims at filling in the ‘Development Gap’ by strengthening the economy through fostering regional cooperation, creating sustainable and stable support systems for national progress making educational system as one key indicator.
In response to this call, JMC student Angelie Joy Sun was chosen to represent not only JMC but also the whole Philippines in the ASEAN Integration Conference held on October 3-6, 2014 at Sirindhorn School in Surin Province in Thailand.
CHED Eyes Licensure Examination for Communication Graduates

“We need people like you.” CHED XI Director Raul Alvarez emphasizes the demand for communication professionals which, he says, will never cease as most organizations, be it private or government-based, commercial or non-commercial, have their respective communication departments.
Several issues haunt the communication programs in the city today. Firstly, how competent the gradautes are in meeting the needs and demands of the industry; and secondly, what jobs await the graduates considering the very limited jod opportunities in the tri-media profession.

For three consecutive years, the Mass Communication Program of the Jose Maria College has never failed to bring home all the major awards in the annual intercollegiate advertising Congress.
This year, the MC 118 (Advanced Advertising and Public Info) students, under the supervision of Prof. Mark Roel B. Narreto, have proven their best in the recently concluded AVANT-- an Intercollegiate Advertising Congress-- making them the competition’s first hall of famers.

Holy Cross of Davao College’s Green House Effect Ad Agency and Philippine Women's College's Earthworms Creations succumbed to JMC's Paragon Excedere Advertising Agency's short creative productions for the tri-media competitions and excellent presentation skills.
