In line with the vision and mission of the Founding President to help especially the deprived, financially challenged and/or the less fortunate students, the Jose Maria College is conducting a massive Education Caravan / Campaign for them to avail the Free Education Program of the institution.

The school also recognizes and honors excellence of the youth that it commits to offer several types of scholarships in recognition of student academic achievements, participation/membership in co-curricular and athletic programs, and scholarships based on “need.”

Specifically, JMC offers academic scholarships, student assistantships, athletic scholarships, cultural scholarships and other scholarship grants such as the Skills Enhancement and Educational Development for Students.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS

A. JUNIOR & SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP - This will be awarded to incoming Junior and Senior High School students who excelled in academics.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION and MISCELLANEOUS FEES.

BASIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Report of Grades
  2. Birth Certificate (NSO Copy)
  3. Certification of Good Moral Character
  4. 2x2 picture with Father, Mother and Student
  5. Medical Certificate
  6. Laboratory result for CBC, Urinalysis, Xray, Blood Typing

B. EDUCATIONAL VOUCHER SYSTEM (ESC) – This will be given to Junior and Senior High school students preferably from the public schools to avail of private education with government subsidizing part of their tuition fees through the GATSPE.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION and MISCELLANEOUS FEES.


C. COLLEGE ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIP – This will be awarded to incoming College students.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION and MISCELLANEOUS FEES; 1,500 MONTHLY STIPEND PLUS FREE LUNCH.   

BASIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. Scholarship Exam
  2. Psychological Test
  3. Original Report Card (Form 138)
  4. Birth Certificate (NSO Copy)
  5. Certification of Good Moral Character
  6. 2x2 picture with Father, Mother and Student
  7. Medical Certificate
  8. Laboratory result for CBC, Urinalysis, Xray, Blood Typing

D. UNIFAST PROGRAM FOR COLLEGE – This will be awarded to College students. CHED's Unifast Scholarship Program is a Free College/Tertiary Education Program especially designed for those students who are considered deprived, financially/economically challenged and/or less fortunate. However, the qualification is subject to DSWD and CHED validation.

Qualified students will ENJOY A 100% FREE TUITION & MISCELLANEOUS FEES (with allowance) and BOOK ALLOWANCE.   


E.  GIFT of EDUCATION (GoE) PROGRAM - The scholarship is open to all high school graduates who desire to pursue and complete a college education but are financially and economically challenged.

Qualified students will ENJOY A 100% FREE TUITION.

BASIC  REQUIREMENTS: 

  1. High School Report Card (Form 138)
  2. Accomplished Scholarship Application form
  3. Certificate of Good Moral Character (from High School Principal)
  4. Proof of less than Php 150,000 annual family income (from disinterested persons) or copy of annual income tax of current or previous year.
  5. Barangay Certification of Residency
  6. Cedula
  7. Barangay certification of Indigency with number
  8. 2x2 picture with Father, Mother and Student
  9. Medical Certificate
  10. Laboratory result for CBC, Urinalysis, Xray, Blood Typing

F.  ARMED FORCES OF THE PHILIPPINES EDUCATIONAL BENEFIT SYSTEM (AFPEBS) – This will be given to military personnels and their dependents:

50% tuition fee discount: requires thirty (30) or more enrollees from preparatory to tertiary level

30% tuition fee discount: requires less than thirty (30) enrollees from preparatory to tertiary level

10% tuition fee discount: requires ten (10) or more enrollees ONLY for Caregiving and other TESDA courses

5% tuition fee discount: requires less than ten (10) enrollees ONLY for Caregiving and other TESDA courses.


G. SPORTS SCHOLARSHIP - This will be given to qualified JMC Varsity and Athletics Team. This is awarded to both College and High School levels.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION and MISCELLANEOUS FEES plus FREE LUNCH, BOARD AND LODGING.

BASIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Original copy of his Report Card (Form 138-A) or Certificate of Transfer Credentials
  2. Two (2) Original Copies of NSO Birth Certificate
  3. Two (2) pcs 2x2 picture (with name tag)
  4. Entrance Examination result
  5. Psych Test Result
  6. Certificate of Good Moral Character
  7. Medical Certificate with Laboratory Results
  8. Parental Consent (for minor applicants)
  9. Notarized Contract
  10. Other documents that may be further required by the coach/scholarship moderator

H. CULTURAL ARTS SCHOLARSHIP - This will be given to members of the Sinagila Chorale and Dance Troupe.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION.

Entry Requirements:

  1. The applicant must undergo and pass the six-month cultural arts training and workshop conducted by the Sinagila Cultural Arts Moderators.
  2. After passing the training and workshop, the scholar must regularly attend the continuing talent training sessions

I. SIBLINGS DISCOUNT - Special discounts will be given to siblings, brothers and sisters, who are enrolled in the college.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION (depending on the number of siblings enrolled in the same school year/semester).


J. MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT - This is a privilege given only to bona fide Kingdom of Jesus Christ members.

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 50% FREE TUITION.


K. SCHOLARSHIP ON TERTIARY EDUCATION PROGRAM (STEP) – This is a City Government of Davao initiated scholarship program for the under-privileged but deserving youth of Davao.


L. JMC EMPLOYEE DISCOUNT - This will be granted to children of JMC employees from time of admission up to graduation (renewable every semester).

Qualified students will ENJOY UP TO 100% FREE TUITION.


M. COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION (CHED) ADMINISTERED STUDENT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS - CHED Special Study Grant Program for the qualified constituents of the Congressman/Congressional Districts/Party Lists.


N. OPEN HIGH SCHOOL PROGRAM (OHSP) - OHSP is an alternative mode of formal secondary education program of the Department of Education (DepED). The program provides an opportunity for elementary school graduates, high school drop-outs and successful examinees of the Philippine Education Placement Test (PEPT) to complete secondary education in a purely distance learning mode.
