JMCFI College of Law Paves the Way for Legal Aid Referral System and Externship Program

JMCFI College of Law has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Integrated Bar of the Philippines – Davao City Chapter. The collaboration will pave the way for a Legal Aid Referral System and Externship Program for Law Student Practitioners, fulfilling the requirements of Rule 138-A of the Rules of Court. The partnership aims to produce socially responsible lawyers who can make a positive impact on society by providing legal aid to those who need it most.

What sets JMCFI College of Law apart from other law schools is its unique curriculum that emphasizes hands-on learning, community service, and practical legal experience. Law Student Practitioners are empowered to apply their legal knowledge to real-world situations, making them ready to be at the forefront of nation-building.

The MOA signing took place on May 15, 2023, at the JMCFI College of Law Lobby. The program included an opening prayer by Atty. Faith Imee Roble, a welcome message by Atty. Gretchen Cañedo, Director of JMCFI-Legal Assistance Center, a message from JMCFI President Dr. Felix C. Chavez, Jr., and a message from the IBP President, Atty. Aiza Mae J. Kanda, President of IBP Davao City Chapter.
