The 2023 JMCFI College Department Intramurals was a resounding success, with teams Draco, Phoenix, Orion, Cepheus, and Aquila competing in an exhilarating display of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship. While the competition was fierce, it was ultimately the values learned along the way that mattered the most.
Throughout the event, each team exemplified the JMarian values of excellence, respect, integrity, and compassion. They showed that while winning is important, what truly matters is the lessons and values learned along the way. It was heartening to see the teams showcase their varied personalities and learned to adjust, adapt and support one another throughout the competition.
The championship title was ultimately claimed by Aquila, but all the teams are winners in their own right. They displayed exemplary sportsmanship and represented their teams with pride and honor. The event was proof of the power of sports to foster camaraderie and build character, and the JMarian community is immensely proud of all the teams who participated and showcased their talents and values along the process.
Congratulations to Team Aquila for their well-deserved win, and to all the competing teams for their outstanding effort and sportsmanship.
