Davao City — Innovation took center stage as ICT Davao successfully hosted the AI Hackathon 2025 last November 22–23, gathering nine dynamic teams driven by creativity and cutting-edge solutions. After two days of intensive coding, prototyping, and idea-building, organizers shortlisted the Top 5 teams—in no particular order—to advance to the main stage: the Innovation Summit.
These top teams earned the chance to pitch their AI-powered projects during ICT Davao’s flagship event, “AI FRONTIERS: Where Builders Meet Visionaries,” held on November 25, 2025 at Dusit Thani Davao. The summit brought together industry leaders, developers, students, and tech innovators to witness the region’s growing AI ecosystem.
From the Top 5 finalists, champions of this year’s hackathon were officially declared during the summit program. Standing out among the competitors, the BSIT team from Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI) clinched the 1st Runner-Up title—a proud moment for the institution and a testament to the team’s technical excellence and forward-thinking approach in AI development.
The AI Hackathon 2025 once again showcased Davao City as a thriving hub for digital talent, empowering young innovators to build solutions that shape the future of technology in the region.
