JMCFI Boosts QA, SDG Commitment at PACUCOA’s 52nd Anniversary, 36th AGA

Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI) proudly joins the 52nd Founding Anniversary and 36th Annual General Assembly of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). The event brings together leading higher education institutions committed to elevating academic quality and strengthening institutional excellence across the country.

JMCFI’s participation, composed of School President Dr. Jose Ma. Gonzales, Associate VP for Professional and Technical Education Dr. Joan Mae Espinosa, Quality Assurance Director Engr. Jose Rosener Guyano, and Research Development and Publication Director and Accreditation and Internationalization Head Dr. John Vianne Murcia as delegates, reflects the institution’s continuing dedication to building strong internal quality assurance systems and aligning with national and international accreditation standards. By being part of PACUCOA’s annual assembly, JMCFI reinforces its long-term direction toward improved curriculum delivery, faculty development, and student-centered learning environments.

This engagement also strengthens JMCFI’s alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The institution’s commitment to SDG 4 (Quality Education) is evident as it pursues continuous improvement in academic programs and services. Its focus on ethical governance and transparent processes supports SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), ensuring that operations remain accountable and future-ready. Moreover, participation in PACUCOA fosters collaborations that directly advance SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). Through exchanges with partner institutions, JMCFI gains access to best practices, benchmarking opportunities, and collective efforts that enhance institutional development. These quality enhancements also contribute to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by shaping graduates who are industry-aligned and globally competitive.

As JMCFI continues to strengthen its accreditation journey, the institution remains committed to embedding sustainable development principles in its academic direction, research initiatives, and community programs. Through this, JMCFI moves forward with a clear purpose—advancing quality, deepening partnerships, and contributing to long-term progress for Mindanao and the Philippines.
