Industry–Academic link strengthened in meeting with PICE–Davao

Davao City, Philippines — The College of Engineering Education of Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI) successfully held a productive Industry–Academic Board Partnership Meeting yesterday with the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) – Davao City Chapter at Barok Cafe & Resto, marking a new milestone in civil engineering education and collaboration.

The meeting yielded meaningful outcomes as PICE–Davao City Chapter formally accepted JMCFI’s invitation to become one of its partner organizations and an official member of the Industry–Academic Board for the Civil Engineering Program. This development represents a significant step toward strengthening the alignment of academic instruction with industry standards and practices.

Dean Bolanio expressed heartfelt gratitude to Engr. Flordeluna Juyo, President of PICE–Davao City Chapter, for her support, leadership, and openness to collaboration. Her commitment was instrumental in making the partnership possible.

Anchored on the theme, “Building Foundations of Collaboration: Academia and Industry in Pursuit of Engineering Excellence,” the meeting emphasized shared goals in enhancing civil engineering education, enriching student learning experiences, and promoting professional development for faculty members.
