All in one day, the titles champion in Sci-Damath, Tower Building, and Rube Goldberg have been bagged by the Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc.- Association of College Engineering Students (JMCFI-ACES).
Competing against five prominent academic institutions with College of Engineering, JMCFI-ACES was able to display excellence in Math-Science-related competitions organized by the Junior Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (JPICE) Davao City Chapter held on Oct. 7, 2023.
On a post by the JMCFI College of Engineering Education Facebook page, one notable competition was the Tower Building Competition in which aspiring civil engineers demonstrated their knowledge and skills by constructing towers using limited materials capable of supporting loads and surviving ground motions of increasing intensity without structural failures.
Besides being a champion, JMCFI-ACES also bagged awards in other competitions.
The team was hailed as 1st placer in Bridge Building, and 3rd placer in Rubiks Cube and Quiz Bowl.
“TIGIAY: Math-Science Fair 2023” was held at Ateneo de Davao University’s Arrupe Hall.
