School holds orientation for transferees

To promote awareness among transferees, the Guidance Center spearheaded an orientation program together with the program heads and deans of Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI).

An estimated number of 50 transfer students for the 2nd semester were oriented to start their journey afresh at JMCFI.

Ms. Myrna Ambrocio, the Director of Student Affairs and Services, started her opening remarks with gratitude on behalf of the School Administration, Deans, Faculty, and Center Heads.

The Guidance Office, led by the Guidance Center Head, Ms. Ma. Eloiza B. Estrera, RGC, LPT, MiC, organized the student orientation with the assistance of the officers of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) at the Law Lobby.

Mr. John Floyd P. Dumapias, the Guidance Facilitator for College, Introduced to the new JMarians the school administrators and officers of the college. As the school upholds its commitment to providing its stakeholders with an assured, consistent, and quality education, the Vision, Mission, and Goals (VMG), as well as the rules and regulations were also introduced.

“I thought it was easy for me to adjust, but it wasn’t,” Sheila Sedona, a first-year Social Work transfer student stated.

As some students were having difficulties in adjusting to their new environment, transferee students felt the guidance and support as they are now ready and equipped with the knowledge to start their journey ahead.

“As each of you is a builder of tomorrow, make sure that with the blueprint in your hand, you see through it,” Ms. Gwyn Janelle Lim, the program host, urged the transferees during the program.
