USAID Opportunity 2.0, EDC honor JMCFI with ‘Torch of Opportunities’

For supporting and serving the Filipino out-of-school youth and for improving their access to opportunities to higher education, Opportunity 2.0, a program by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Education Development Center (EDC) award Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI) the “Torch of Opportunities” in honor to the school on its contribution to their shared social cause.

As it reads, the said torch “serves both as a token of appreciation and symbol” to guide JMCFI to take over the O2 programs and continue to serve and support the FIlipino out-of-school youth in the years to come.

It is aimed at “maintaining current activities, programs, and services, and seeking ways to expand and enhance opportunities for better livelihoods” for the Filipino OSY.

The awarding also came with the signing of an oath of commitment with the Davao City Alliance for Out-of-School Youth Development at Acacia Hotel Davao on November 20, 2024.

JMCFI was represented by the Vice President for Administration, Dr. Roland T. Suico, together with the Director for Communications, Ms. Lady Claire M. Logan and the Director for Internationalization, Linkages, and Marketing, Ms. Jove S. Pellerin.
