College JMarians embrace 1st-day frenzy thru extravaganzas

DAVAO CITY — Jose Maria College Foundation, Inc. (JMCFI) kicked off Academic Year 2025–2026 with a vibrant and high-spirited welcome as college JMarians embraced the first-day frenzy through a series of exciting campus-wide extravaganzas on Monday, July 14.

From early registration for Friday Jumpstart raffle draw to musical presentations, the energy was palpable as students—new and returning—gathered to mark the start of a new academic journey. Organized by the Office of Student Affairs in partnership with various student organizations, the first-day festivities served as both a warm welcome and a motivational launchpad for the semester.

One of the crowd favorites was the JMarian-themed photobooth stationed at the main lobby. Students posed with creative props, class banners, and their peers to capture their first-day memories. It was a “Wall of Welcome,” encouraging students to share their JMCFI pride online.

The Office of the Student Affairs (OSAS) shared that this kind of welcoming gimmick will last until Friday, July 18, 2025.

As the school year officially unfolds, the first-day frenzy left students energized and inspired to embrace new goals, build lasting connections, and take pride in their identity as JMarians.
